Since 1985, CASDIQUIM S.A. has been part of the most significant technological developments in the textile and leather sectors.
Family-owned company established on August 21, 1985, by Mr. Carlos Ignacio Castañeda, beginning commercial activities with chemical products for the textile industry.
In 1992, the company signed a representation contract with NovoNordisk, now Novozymes, initiating the introduction of enzymatic processes in the textile industry, which has continued to the present day. Currently, the BIO-EFFECT enzymatic system has been developed, through which this concept has been successfully implemented in all textile processes, including preparation, desizing, bleaching, and finishing, using enzymatic complexes.
In 1993, CASDIQUIM took over the distribution of ICI dyes in the Colombian market to represent ZENECA COLOURS. This continued until 1996, when the stake was sold.
In 1994, CASDIQUIM entered the textile warp sizing market and signed a cooperation agreement with Avebe from the Netherlands for this purpose. Currently, CASDIQUIM has established itself as one of the leading companies in compounds for the Colombian textile industry.
In 1996, the company signed a contract with HANSA Textilchemie, strongly entering the textile finishing market with cutting-edge silicones, which allowed it to capture a significant portion of the Colombian market. This representation continued until the sale of HANSA.
In 1998, a representation contract was signed with the German company STOCKHAUSEN GmbH, through which developments were advanced in the Colombian textile market, primarily in preparation and dyeing. This contract remained in effect until shortly after BOZZETTO GROUP acquired the company.
In June 1999, CASDIQUIM entered the leather retanning market by signing a contract with Spanish company TRUMPLER for wet-end processes. In 2001, it signed with Piel Color for leather finishing. The latter representation lasted until the end of 2011.
In 2004, CASDIQUIM S.A.S began a collaboration with RUDOLF TEXTILCHEMIE from Germany, with which it maintains commercial relations to this day.
In 2010, QUIMINCOL S.A.S was established in the Rionegro Free Trade Zone, Antioquia, 30 kilometers from Medellín. A significant investment was made in this company to produce and commercialize the products developed by CASDIQUIM S.A.S, aiming to expand the market to Mexico, Central America, Peru, and Ecuador. For over 35 years, CASDIQUIM S.A.S and QUIMINCOL S.A.S have been part of the most significant technological advancements in the textile, leather, and paper industries. The continuous evolution of their clients has demanded ongoing progress in technical, administrative, and production areas, supported by technological expertise from the major multinational companies they represent. In their modern and updated application laboratory, various processes are carried out on leather, textile, and paper substrates, which are continuously optimized and refined in collaboration with clients.
